Ghost Writing One of the serrvices I offer on my website is ghost writing. There seems to be a lot of confusion about what a ghost writer is and how ghost writing works. One of the most common misconceptions is that if a ghost writer is offered a 'good' story or biography, they will take the commission at their own risk in the hope that the work will be a best seller and therefore they will make money. A ghost writer offers a service like any other professional. You have to pay your lawyer or accountant whatever the result and ususally at an agreed hourly rate. If you are contemplating using a ghost writer please consider that 6 months of work from a professional person who may be working exclusively on your project for all that time may cost in the region of $10,000 - $15,000. It is normally best to be in contact with a publisher who is interested in your story first and who knows the genre. Be certain there is a publishing eal at the end of it or you could spend a lot of money on nothing.
