Why Led Zeppelin should NOT tour again
Okay, this may offend the purists and the nostalgia freaks but I believe Led Zeppelin should NOT reform and tour the world.
The reason for this is that the band was in and of the 1970's and they were superb, ground-breaking in all they did. They were matchless and that feeling probably can't be recaptured 35 years later.
Robert Plant has moved on and done superb work with his band Strange Sensation and lately with singer songwriter Alison Krause.
That energy and creativity he puts into new projects should be allowed to flow in that direction.
I heard Jimmy Paige say on the radio today that the organisation required for the 02 concert in London required as much organisation as a world tour so the work would be immense.
We who heard them first time round and treasure the albums, cd's, vinyls, whatever, and the new generations still buying Led Zeppelin music should do just that, but the chances of seeing them are a lottery anyway with the way the tickets are sold.
